Abstract
The thema of the paper is to compare Czech and Norwegian model of sentencing some alternative punishment. It describes activities of Norwegian Correctional service and Czech probation and mediation service.
The paper describes a system of two sentences, Comunity sentence and Home prison. It deals with the differences between the approach to Comunity sentence in Czech Republic and in Norway.
Describes the basic ideas Comunity sentence and looking for common threads. The article deals with Norway and the Czech model Home prison, including the use of electronic monitoring of it.
The article also deals with different approaches to the performance of individual records. Significant is the description of the approach to offenders through alternative sanctions.
The main idea is linking different approaches to explore the possibility of mutual transfer of experience.
