Abstract
The work focuses on the possibilities of the use of photodocumentation from the archive sof the resettled inhabitants of the Šumava Mountains, and of the toponomastic research used for the use of postmedieval archaelogy, and the archeology of modernity. Modelling as well as examples are presented from the perspective of the medieval colonization method, as well as particularities, and ramifications, of the perishing of the settlements after the year 1945 in the Prachatice region.
