Abstract
In this paper, the author would like to describe communication of comics with the help of a semiotic analysis. The methodology will consist in exploring the meanings communication of comics on several levels - linguistic, visual and auditory.
The autor will use theory of Yuri Lotman and his study about aesthetics of movie, model systems and languages of art. Therefore the paper will describe the creation of the theory of comics as a synthesizing process which combines several semiotic systems.
Attention will be focus to the issue of conventional and iconic signs. The author would like to present comics as a specific code and describe it's distinctive attribute.
