Abstrakt
This work aimed to familiarize the issues of cultural transfer in audiovisual translation. It is an extension of the previous analysis carried out on the original French films and Polish translations.
It focuses on the analysis of the transfer of cultural elements in the animated film Shrek in English (original), French, Czech and Polish language versions. The study aims to draw attention to problems with the translation of cultural elements and how they adapt to the target culture.
It shows the different ways used in traslation of translated texts, ie. French, Czech and Polish.
