The chapter gives an overview of the actual development of Czech environmental law. Especially it focuses to the Act No 39/2015 Col., the Amendment to the Environmental Impact Assessment Act and to the Act No 41/2015, the Amendment to the Agriculture Soil Protection Act.
The Amendment on Environmental Impact Assessment Act reacts to the infringement procedure for insufficient implementation of the Directive 2011/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 December 2011 on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. This Act brings the conceptual changes to the Environmental Impact Assessment Procedure and to the following permitting procedures.
Most of changes are related to the public participation. The chapter also mentions the small but important change in the field of protection against noise.
The attention is also paid to the bill of the Amendment of the Nature and Tandscape protection Act actually discussed in the Parliament that focused to the conceptual changes in the field of National Park legislation.
