Abstract
My thesis aims to show how political decisions in international context affected national ice hockey team in Czechoslovakia in the year 1969. By putting events in context it is essential to illustrate the popularity of ice hockey in Czechoslovakia.
The purpose of the thesis is to truthfully describe the important milestones of the Czechoslovak ice hockey based on the archival sources.
