Redescription and lectotype designation of Chasmogenus abnormalis (Sharp), with notes on its distribution

Abstract

Chasmogenus abnormalis (Sharp) (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) is redescribed and its lectotype is designated. The distribution of the species is summarized and the variability of its male genitalia is analyzed.
