Abstract

The tools of geometric morphometry have been used in anthropology and biology for decades now. On the other hand, their application in other fields, such as archaeology, has been somewhat slower.

Geometric morphometry is the quantitative study of shape with the application of multivariate statistical and geometric approaches in the evaluation of the data.We have applied GM to represent the shape of 199 complete Old Kingdom adze blade outlines.
