Abstract

The Russian Foreign Historical Archives were established in Prague in 1923. Involvement of the paid and voluntary foreign agents was an important reason for successful work of the Russian Foreign Historical Archives.

The agents were active in the various centers of the Russian emigration including the Republic of Latvia. In 1945, the activities of the Russian Foreign Historical Archives were terminated.

In 1948, the decision was made to deliver the above-mentioned documents to the Slavic Library in Prague where the collection has been stored until the present days.
