Between 1917 and 1927, about three million people abandoned Russia. The cites of Western Europe - Prague, Berlin and most importantly Paris - becausethe destination of their forced migration.
Paris alone had the largest Russian colony located in its district of Passy. Many people began working here - including artists and designers, labourers, members of the intelligentsia and aristocracy.
