1. A registered partnership represents - in addition to cohabitation - one of the forms of cohabitation of two persons of the same sex. 2.
As regards the legislation of cohabitation of same-sex couples, some partial codification attempts occurred in the Czech Republic in the early 90s. On the European scale it is not an exceptional legislation because the registered partnership has previously been introduced into the legal systems mainly in Scandinavian countries (Denmark v r. 1989, Norway in 1993 and Sweden 1994).
