Abstrakt
The article deals with the syntax-pragmatics interface from the viewpoint of both linguistic functionalism and the framework of syntactico-centrism, where syntactic mechanisms deriving utterances with a certain illocutionary force are looked for. Finally, a sentence is shown as an utterance event set in a semantic-pragmatic matrix that determines the basic utterance coordinates as logophoric.
