We present a 61-year old female with severe obesity who has been followed for 18 years in the Obesity Unit. She was considered as metabolically healthy obese not only after her initial weight loss of 53.6 kg but also during the follow-up in spite of the subsequent weight regain of 34.6 kg.
The role of improvement in eating attitudes as evaluated by the Eating Inventory and a reduction of the Beck depression score in the maintenance of favorable metabolic profile is discussed.
