Abstrakt
This paper deals with the issue of truth and the nature of humanities. It shows the necessity of a philosophical basis of scientific knowledge in humanities, especially in education, special education, psychology and social work.
Here, the truth means in particular to respect and honor those who are dependent on the help of the educator, caregiver or social worker. The article warns of the dangers of paternalism in social and educational care and highlights its forms.
