Abstract
We present an overview of pharmacology and clinical use of 4F-PCC (four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate) manufactured as Beriplex(R) with respect to restitution of coagulation in patients treated with vitamin K antagonists, to substitution of coagulation factors (II, VII, IX, X), and also to life-threatening hemorrhages including those affecting patients using new oral anticoagulants such as apixaban, edoxaban, and rivaroxaban with no specific antidotes available.
