Abstrakt
The article compares the missions of the Moravian Church (Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine, Unitas Fratrum) in America with those of the Jesuit Order that developed in the same region and approximately the same time. The declared aims as well as the actual mission practice of both groups are analyzed, with specific emphasis being placed upon the phenomenon of the "mission cities"
