Abstract
Standard treatment for all operable patients, complemented by radiation therapy in selected case sis described. Inherent or acquired resistance to chemotherapy is a significant problem in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas.
This review gives a detailed information on newly introduced cytotoxic drugs and their role for combination with targeted therapy that have been presented on the European Cancer Congress 2015 in Vienna. The scientists from the Institute of Biology, Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University in Prague presented a very useful in vitro model of murine fibrosarcoma progression series consisting of four clonally related sarcoma cell lines.
This progression series could be very valuable for deciphering crucial aspects of sarcoma progression.
