Abstract
The aim of this study, which is based on the specialized literature, published sources and unpublished sources from the National Archives, Kew, Surrey, is the analysis of the penetration of European Powers into Morocco in the 19th century. The study pays attention to the British and French interests in Morocco in particular and reveals the history of Morocco before it became the French protectorate.
