Abstract
The article discusses the latest trends in dental implantology, especially regarding changes in the anatomy of a facial skeleton of the patient's age. It also describes the new trend in a teeth extraction preserving part of a radix called "shield extractions", which leads to better preservation of buccal bone plate and hence less resorption of the alveolar ridge.
