The success rate of girls and boys in science education

Abstract

Many of international and national research projects are focused on testing the scientific literacy of students. This study compares and evaluates the impact of gender issues on the success of students in testing levels of competence in chemistry.

Girls and boys, students of Czech grammar schools, were tested according to our own research. Paper also provides some examples of test items with the largest differences in the success of the solution by the gender.
