The topic of social farming appears in recent years in the Czech Republic inspired by West European best practice and as a good experience. Social farming experience its thematisation due to the dynamic development of social entrepreneurship in the European and Czech context.
It turns as well as sustainable practices operating within multifunctional agriculture, innovative approaches to social integration, especially in rural areas, and in the context of alternative approaches to social work. This article is a contribution to the innovative issue of social farming in the Czech Republic, where until now it has got only little attention.
It aims to introduce Czech readers the content of this concept and present the Czech experience to date on the basis of the summary results of the study "Application of the concept of social farming in social inclusion policies in rural areas", which was prepared in 2015 for the Agency for Social Inclusion, The Office of the Government. At the same time, the concept is related to social entrepreneurship, which describes the complex reality of the organizations whose main motivation is to provide services and products serving the public benefit purpose.
