The article contains the main concepts of a project concerning the field of Czech phraseology. The project is aimed at phraseological minimum creation (hereinafter PhM) regarding teaching Czech as a foreign language.
The project primarily focuses on teaching Russian-speaking foreigners. PhM is defined as the minimum number of idioms that students should know at each level of proficiency according to the Common European Framework.
It is an elaboration of a new approach to understanding the concept of a PhM and determination of its criteria. There is still no Czech PhM existing now.
