Abstrakt
The thixotropic behaviour of newly formulated nasal sprays was ascertain by using two types of tests, the shear rate ramp up and down (loop test), and the three steps shear rate test (thixotropy test). The loop test were employed at increasing and decreasing shear rate ramp, and the three steps shear rate measurement at three shear rates and corresponding times.
The rebuilt of the samples structure was expressed in percentage of the original viscosity recovery after preset time.
