Abstract
The main theme of the publication is the issue of a hearing impaired person and the possibilities to rehabilitate. It features various ways to educate hearing impaired people in both the history and the present inlcuding opposing views of proponents of the auditory-oral method and on the other side of the visual-motor method of communication.
It also presents the benefits of cochlear implants in education of people with severe hearing impairment and the benefits of creating an environment with an emphasis on inclusive way of pre-primary, primary, secondary and tertiary education of children, pupils and students.
