The article deals with the development of the editing of narrative, mainly historiographical, Bohemian sources from its very beginnings in the 17th and first half of the 18th centuries, through the first attempts at the critical editions in the second half of the 18th century (GELASIUS DOBNER, FRANTIŠEK MARTIN PELCL, JOSEF DOBROVSKÝ), large edition series in the second half of the 19th and in the first third of the 20th century (Fontes rerum Bohemicarum; Deutsche Chroniken aus Böhmen), and finally up to the modern critical editions of the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21th century. Aside from that, also the translations of the narrative sources are mentioned.
