Use of new types of pentamethinine salts with expanded quinoxaline unit in antitumor therapy

Abstract

In the present invention, there are disclosed pentamethinine salts with incorporated expanded quinoxaline unit of the general formula I, that are usable as a composition exhibiting cytostatic activity for tumor cell lines and for suppressing tumor growth. Further, these substances can be used for selective marking of mitochondrias.
