Abstract
Although previously expressed wishes have been brought into Czech legal system in 2001, their use in practice remains still limited. However, if written down, they could be beneficiary not only for the patients and others who participate in taking care of the patients, but also for the clients of social service facilities.
The aim of the text therefore is to introduce the previously expressed wishes and especially highlight some of the practical issues related to them in practice.
