Abstract
This Paper is dedicated to focuses primarily on the political, economic and social aspects that influenced the situation in the miller's branch during the First World War on the territory of the Kingdom of Bohemia. In this very specific period, there were many more or less permanent changes, that culminate in the emergence of the Czechoslovak Republic and the gradual transformation of the Czechoslovak economy.
