Abstract
According to international guidelines is an irremovable total contact cast (TCC) gold standard in ulcer offloading and most studies declares a high success rate in ulcer heeling. In recent years, studies have shown comparable results of offloading and heeling with using removable prefabicated orthosis.
Besides these options podiatrists in real clinical practice have other offloading device from which we select two that proved to be successful: individual plastic orthosis and therapeutic footwear with individually customized multi-layer insole.
