Abstract
The article contains a survey of the most important legislative changes in criminal law according to act no. 150/2016 Sb. This act has amended the penal code, the penal procedure code as well as the act on judiciary in the matters of juveniles.
The author focuses mainly on the issue of electronic monitoring of the accused, not omitting other important changes in penal provisions either relating to a shortening of the time for enforcement of the sentence of community service, a limitation of ex offo review of the performance of protective treatment by courts and an extension of the investigative powers of authorised bodies of the Military Police.
