The publication summarizes the results of research conducted in Czech schools during the period May-June 2016. The aim was to find out how it is on the second grade in primary schools and corresponding grades of secondary schools implemented environmental education, ie.
What methods teachers use to meet the target areas environmental education. Total managed to get data from 645 respondents representing various schools, 11 interviews with experienced teachers and were processed by case studies from nine schools selected as examples of good practice.
Research shows the strengths and weaknesses of the practice of environmental education in the Czech Republic. Shows such as environmental education on the one hand strongly represented educational sphere, on the other hand also points to specific weaknesses in its implementation.
In the final part of the publication discusses the results and suggests recommendations for further promotion and development of environmental education in schools.
