International Congress of the Society for Intercultural German Studies (GiG). The conference's goal was an inventory of intercultural concepts.
The aim was to provide an overview of the modeling of intercultural phenomena in different regions of the world, theory cultures and subjects. However, the interest here was not directed to synthesizing a "general concept" from the concepts presented to the supposedly adequate description of intercultural constellations, but rather to take into account the worldwide and subject-specific diversity of such conceptualizations and make this diversity the basis of scientific research Further development of intercultural German studies.
