Abstract
The report recalls the visit to the Beijing International Studies University (BISU) in China from 16 - 25 September 2016. Czech studies at this university was opened in 2015 for high-school students; until then, Czech was taught since 1954 only at Beijing University of Foreign Studies (BUFS).
Expansion of teaching Czech in China reflects the international political situation, relations between China and the Czech Republic,further development of cooperation between the countries of the European Union and China also reflects the current Chinese president Si Jin - pchinga's initiative called the New Silk Road.
