Shared culture(s). Prague interspaces

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2016

Abstract

The paper asks for an appropriate description of the specific interculturalism of Prague in the early twentieth century, which can also be applied to the specificities of the so-called "Prague German Literature", which was mainly written by jewish authors. It argues in favor of a model of "interspaces", which understands nationally defined cultural spaces only as an exception to a fundamental hybridity.
