Concluding chapter of the book analyses the key issue of today's education, i.e. the autonomy of its school form. Besides the defence of its traditional functions the authors urge to actively set arguments indicating its specificity in the context of new ways of knowing.
The recognition of the school autonomy has to be linked to the restoration of the authority of the knowledge (epistémé) different from the the meaning (doxa) voiced by some experts, politicians and parents.
