Abstract

In the second half of the 19th century, the Jewish population went through a significant process of assimilation mainly visible in the are of culture. At the beginning of the 20th century, the political and cultural sionistic movement (magazine Selbstwehr and the collection Das jüdische Prag) is the one taking on importance.

The lecture deals with this rise of importance and with the movement's significant representatives.
