Abstract
The author of this chapter deals with the field of pharmaceutical law. Firstly, he defines the concept of pharmaceutical law.
Then he focuses on the historical development of this area of law, both at EU and national level. Further attention is given to the definitions of medicinal product and medical device.
Conclusion of this chapter presents the history of the State Institute for Drug Control, as the national regulator in the field of pharmaceutical law.
