The present contribution draws inspiration from the ideas of Fernando Navarro Domínguez explained in his study entitled "Jiří Levý: la teoría de la traducción y la lingüística", published in Iberoamericana Pragensia, Supplementum 27/2011, pp. 21 - 30. The current efforts in methodological renovations of Translation Studies have sparked a growing interest in theories that have until now been marginalized, including Slavic cultures.
