Abstract
The book focuses on the collect prayers of the contemporary Roman mass in its historical and liturgical context. The main part of the book is composed of short commentaries of singular collects of Sundays of the Liturgical year.
For every oration its biblical and patristic roots are demonstrated and the changes that the text has passed during the centuries are shown. In the introductory study the general history of this type of liturgical orations is presented
