Abstract
The chapter presents the research design and the methodology of the second phase of the project Reading comprehension - typical development and its risks focusing on the children at risk of reading difficulties. It defines the theoretical background and aims of the research, and specifies the selection criteria of at risk groups.
It also summarizes the timeline of the study and describes research groups and the test battery. In the first data analysis of at risk groups, it compares language skills of selected research groups.
