Higher Education and the current labor market

Abstract

In the last ten years there has been gradual changes in higher education relative to the start of the fourth industrial revolution. The new techno-economic situation brings significant changes to the education system that covers all levels of the educational system.

The aim of this paper is to reflect on and discuss some of the changes in higher education, both increasing the number of university students and graduates, their potential employability in relation to the required competencies, and some possible and expected changes in the content of education in relation to current and future market work. The paper used as examples of comparison of results longitudal survey of students and graduates in managerial, economic and technical study programs.
