Abstract

The music of Czech composers working as teachers has profound roots in Baroque and Classicist era. However, that is developed in contemporary Czech music, too.

The proof is the composition of 2 composers whose compositions are analyzed in the article. These composers deal with liturgical music like ancient composers, but their musical style is different.

The difference consists in the tendency to the traditional or contemporary expression. Both styles are integral of contemporary music and they prove, what musical means are crucial elements of liturgical music.
