Sociomapping of emotions

Publication at Faculty of Arts |

Abstract

The sociomapping method has originally been developed as a tool for the analysis and visualization of relationships within teams and organizations (Bahbouh, 1994). Because, from a mathematical standpoint, it is a visualization of the (generally asymmetrical) proximity between the elements of any system, its utilization has spread to many other areas, as well (Bahbouh, 2012).

This article demonstrates how to use sociomapping to express the proximity of emotions from the perspective of their perception and expression, given that in our case, proximity is defined as the frequency of substituting one emotion for another
