Abstract
MUSCIMarker 1.1 is an open-source tool for annotating visual objects and their relationships in images. It was designed with music notation in mind, but it can annotate any user-defined object set.
Specialized functionality is provided to speed up annotation of binary images (where the background, defined as an area where no object of interest resides, is known). MUSCIMarker is an offline standalone graphical user interface desktop application implemented in Python and known to run on all major desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux and OS X).
