Abstract

This chapter outlines the new political and socio-econimic situation in the Czechoslovak Republic after the Munich Agreement (30 September 1938). The analysis focuses on the impact of Munich on the Czech national charakter, and the author attempts to demythologize certain notions which remain widersread today.
