Intriques in the Southern Countries of the Han Empire : Sima Qian and the Southern Yue

Abstract

Translation with a commentary of chapter 113 of Sima Qian's Shiji. The commentary also contains observations on the tribute system as established during the Han dynasty as a basis for diplomatic relations as understood in China at that time.
