Non-projective problems of the Chasles theorem

Abstract

We revisit the original proof of the Chasles theorem for a non-developable ruled surface. The theorem belongs to projective geometry based on the relation of incidence.

The paper focuses on the parts of the proof in which Chasles used nonprojective methods.
