How to interpret palaeoclimate CLAMP estimates - is it a number value or an interval range?

Abstract

Palaeoclimatic estimates of CLAMP are usually taken in as an exact value/number. However to express a variability derived from the CLAMP calibration datasets including physiognomic and meteorological characteristic of living natural or naturalized vegetation and biotopes it is necessary to think about the palaeoclimatic estimates as an intervals.

The study introduces a conception allowing calculation of the Confident Interval of CLAMP estimates, which are defined separately for each paleoclimate parameters and sets of modern calibration sites. This new conception may help to discuss and interpret obtained CLAMP results in more accurate and relevant way.
