In my paper I try to specify Jan Nebeský's provocative production of King Lear (The National Theatre in Prague 2011-2013). I present one of the versions of Nebesk ý's Lear which I examine from the perspective of the appearance and disappearance of the authorial subject.
This phenomenon or function should be "an epistemic mediator or guarantor" giving meaning and sense to the work and the world it depicts.
