Abstract
The paper focuses on women - the real historical personalities of the early modern period in the Bohemia Lands, folk tradition has created a ghost of whom (e.g. Anna Polyxena Paustová of Liebstadt, Markéta Tvorkovská of Kravaře, etc.).
The paper outlines several variations of how this revenantism should manifest itself, and represents the Czech early modern revenant-woman as a result of people's view's afterlife and a literary construct.
